What’s a Goldendoodle?
The Perfect Family Pup
Goldendoodles are one of the most popular designer breeds around, and for good reason. Goldendoodles are a perfect mix between Golden Retrievers and Poodles. Both breeds are wonderful family dogs that are incredibly smart, loyal, hard working and easily trained.
Golden Retrievers
Golden Retrievers are one of the most friendly, calm and devoted dogs breeds. They are highly trainable, adaptable, make excellent family dogs, and also happen to be one of America’s most popular dog breeds. However, Golden Retrievers have a high level of shedding and are larger than some owners prefer. Some owners require a low-shed dog to help prevent allergies and maintain cleanliness in the home. Goldendoodles are a perfect solution.
Poodles
Poodles are “wickedly smart dogs” with “incredible versatility.” They make great family dogs and have a low shed allergy-friendly coat. Poodles come in multiple sizes (toy, miniature and standard), so breeding with a Poodle creates a range of sizes. However, Poodles tend to be reactive dogs (think barking) and are subject to purebred health concerns. The Goldendoodle addresses these concerns, creating a calmer pup with a healthier outlook through hybrid vigor.
